1. What Chainkeep is (and is not)

Chainkeep is a record-keeping and organisation tool for residential property transactions. It stores documents and emails you choose to add, summarises them, and answers questions based only on that record. Chainkeep is not a law firm, conveyancer, mortgage adviser or estate agent, and nothing in the service constitutes legal or financial advice. Decisions about your transaction should be made with your appointed professionals.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password, two-factor recovery codes, and your transaction’s private forwarding address confidential. Anyone with the forwarding address can add material to your record; rotate it in Settings if you believe it has been exposed.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to documents and emails you add. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process, summarise and display them to you and to people you share them with. You confirm you are entitled to upload what you upload.

4. Sharing

Share links expire and can be revoked, and access is logged. You are responsible for who you send links to. We record opens and downloads (including IP address and browser information) in your transaction’s access log.

5. AI-generated content

Summaries, extracted facts and answers are generated automatically from your documents. They may be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important against the original document — every answer links to its sources for that purpose.

6. Acceptable use

No unlawful content, no malware, no attempting to access other users’ records, no use of the forwarding system to send or relay unsolicited mail.

7. Liability

8. Termination and data

You can export your full record and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your documents, logs and account data from our systems, subject to short-lived backups. [Retention specifics — for legal review.]
